Abstract :
There are many options for personal data
protection framework. However, there are no rank of the
available frameworks. The ranking of the framework
gives a perspective on the merit and drawbacks of the
frameworks, and it will provide a point for consideration
in adopting and implementing the framework. This study
aims to rank potential framework options for protecting
personal data. Experts are involved for the evaluation
and scoring of the criteria. The Analytical Hierarchy
Process (AHP) technique is used to weigh the selection
criteria and rank the alternatives, respectively based on
the expert’s judgement. The findings demonstrate that
for businesses ISO 27701 is the top framework of choice
for personal data security.
