Abstract :
River transportation in Palembang is one of
the most reliable modes of transportation for people who
live in the waters of the Musi River. This study aims to
explain the characteristics of river vessels, namely Getek
Boat, jukung, and speed boats operating in the waters of
the Musi River, and compare the ratios of the main
dimensions of the ship to determine the ability of
stability, loading capacity, resistance, and
maneuverability. Measuring the dimensions of the ship
using the measurement procedure in accordance with
Ministerial Regulation 08 of 2013 concerning ship
measurements and analyzing the ratio of the main
dimensions of the ship. Based on the calculation of the
ratio of (L/B, T/B, T/H, L/H) the ships are speed boats
