What is the Deliberative Education Model for First-Time Voters that Meets the Expectations of First-Time Voters

This study aims to produce a deliberative education model for first-time voters that meets the expectations of first-time voters. The research method used in this study is a mixed methods approach with research data obtained from questionnaires using the Google form, interviews and completed with Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The data analysis technique uses the Mixed Method Data Analysis process determined by sequential mixed analysis. The results of data analysis and findings showed that the level of knowledge of many respondents was in the medium category (36.31%) and the lowest was in the very low category (3.42%). Furthermore, the willingness of novice voters to choose is very high, reaching 90.41% in the High category. In the aspect of political education that is expected by novice voters from the initial analysis, namely the desire for political education for those who put more emphasis on justice, there is no doctrine or the interests of certain groups, true democracy, enlightens voters, especially about a complete understanding in order to change people's mindsets so that they are more good about politics needed in social life. Conclusions and suggestions for future research that the political knowledge of novice voters in Batu city is sufficient.
