Abstract :
This study intends to thoroughly examine
trade unions in South Asia, with a particular emphasis
on India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and
Bhutan. Trade unions are essential for upholding
workers' rights, advancing social justice, and shaping
labour laws. The research offers insights into trade
unions' role in the labour force and the general economy
by examining the historical history, organisational
structures, difficulties, and successes of trade unions in
South Asia. The report also examines the regional
collaboration of trade unions and their initiatives to
improve workers' welfare and promote labour reforms.
