Abstract : Indonesia currently faces the challenge of low interest among the younger generation in pursuing agriculture as a career. A series of studies conducted in Cianjur and West Bandung Regencies aimed to: [1] describe the role of parents in supporting farmer succession; [2] analyze factors influencing this parental role; and [3] formulate strategies to enhance the parental role in farmer succession. The study participants consisted of 120 heads of households—selected purposively from four districts (30 per district)—and data were collected through face-to-face interviews using a structured questionnaire that had undergone validity and reliability testing. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression.

Keywords : Role, Parents, Regeneration, Farmers, Cianjur, Bandung Barat.
