Abstract :
Globalization, as a multidimensional phenomenon, has significantly impacted development trajectories around the
world. In Third World countries, the influence of globalization is contested, with debates focusing on its benefits and
drawbacks. This paper explores the current contestations surrounding globalization's impact on development and proposes
mechanisms that Third World countries can adopt to harness its potential benefits while mitigating adverse effects. By
analyzing existing literature, case studies, and policy recommendations, this study aims to provide a comprehensive
understanding of how Third World nations can navigate the complex landscape of globalization.
