This cross sectional study tested the hypothesis
-salivary osteocalcin as a noninvasive biomarker of
skeletal maturation. Methods: This cross sectional study
included 50 subjects [25 males and 25 females]
categorized into five CVMS based on lateral
cephalographs and 2 ml unstimulated whole saliva

Salivary osteocalcin activity in unstimulated whole saliva
were compared among five CVMS.
