The COVID-19 pandemic, caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, has reached drastic proportions as infection rates and death tolls continue to skyrocket globally. Due to the hospital and medical staff having to endure supply shortages and strain, appropriate access to quality medical care is becoming increasingly difficult for patients of all demographics. Additionally, no vaccine or treatment approach has been concretely proven although many are undergoing research trials as of the drafting of this review
