- The vast majority of dental consultations are for issues involving pulpal, periodontal, and mucosal structures that cause intraoral pain. The structural complexity of the orofacial region will make diagnosis difficult. Before implementing an effective treatment plan for orofacial pain, a correct diagnosis is required.
