- One of the most frequent medical conditions requiring inpatient hospitalization is fractures. In order to maximize the possibility of the fracture surfaces to join and fuse, surgical treatment of fractures typically begins with a reduction of the fracture, which places the bone fragments in their original location and close proximity to one another. Medical and surgical management techniques have advanced significantly as a result of the incredible improvement in technology.
