Abstract :
The adoption of new battery technologies in
Information Technology (IT) rooms is a promising trend
that can enhance the performance and sustainability of IT
systems. New battery technologies, such as solid-state,
cobalt-free, and iron-air batteries, offer advantages over
conventional lithium-ion batteries in terms of energy
density, charging speed, safety, and environmental impact.
This article examines the potential of new battery
technologies in IT rooms, discussing both their benefits in
improving system reliability and efficiency and the
challenges they face.
