The induction of puberty in cattle is of great value in maximizing reproductive efficiency with the aim of promoting greater financial and economic gains from livestock activity. Hormone treatment has been used worldwide in heifers as a way to improve reproductive efficiency. This work aims to present the different protocols used to induce puberty in heifers and the associated benefits for the cow as well as for the farm.
