Abstract : Background: Hyperpyrexia is a life-threatening condition that can be associated with neurological dysfunction, dehydration and multi-organ injury with heat stroke. This study compares supportive care with supportive care plus enhanced supportive care to see if there is an improvement in clinical outcomes.  Methods: This was a prospective, randomized controlled study where 97 patients with hyperpyrexia due to heat stroke were divided into two groups: standard therapy (n = 49) and enhanced supportive care (n = 48), which included structured hydration with electrolyte correction, antioxidant supplementation, nutritional support, and standard therapy. Clinical and biochemical parameters were evaluated at baseline, Day 3 and Day 7.

Keywords : Heat Stroke; Hyperpyrexia; Supportive Care; Hydration Therapy; Neurological Recovery; Acute Kidney Injury; Hyperthermia.
