Abstract : Infertility is one of the leading concerns of the health industry in the present era. Childless couples have been ceaselessly trying various methods to attain parenthood both spiritually and scientifically. Though there have been various advancements in the field of infertility treatments there is no definite reason for the condition of infertility found when there are no pathological findings to ascertain the etiology. Infertility in females can arise from various anatomic, acquired, and genetic factors. This paper explores the different causes, including hormonal imbalances, anatomical abnormalities, lifestyle factors, and medical conditions that contribute to female infertility. Most medical advancements in treatment methods, especially assisted reproductive technology such as Intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), Frozen Embryo transfer (FET), etc., have gained popularity across the globe, but there are no 100% chances of conception and these procedures are also costly for most of the population. Amidst all of this, the medical fraternity extensively ignores the role of the psyche in infertility. This study mainly focuses on the role of psychological well-being and its importance in the context of the most existential threat to the human race's sustenance and reliability.
