Abstract :
Herbal formulations have been widely used
now a days for their therapeutic effectiveness. Medicinal
plants and their active compounds are typically less toxic
and have minimal side effects. However, challenges in
formulating these compounds often arise due to their poor
solubility. Nanosuspensions has emerged as an innovative
drug delivery platform designed to overcome this
significant challenge. These colloidal dispersions of
nanosized drug particles stabilize poorly soluble drugs,
enhancing their dissolution rates, bioavailability, and
therapeutic efficacy. This review provides a
comprehensive overview of nanosuspension technology,
with a particular emphasis on herbal nanosuspensions
preparation methods and characterization techniques.
