Abstract : All the trace mineral levels (mg/100g) in the smoked Clarias gariepinus samples fish results were low but with improvement in Mn [0.126 to 1.54mg/100g]. Additional minerals identified were Se, Pb, Cd, Co and Ni. Se to Ni had the following ranges in the samples (mg/100g); head (HS), liver (LS), muscle (MS): 0.001 to 0.002, 0.002 to 0.092, 0.001 to 0.068 respectively.

Keywords : Trace Minerals, Toxic Mineral Ratios, Mineral Safety Index, and African Sharptooth Catfish.
