The paper explores the gender inequality and examines its impact on early childhood development, healthand education in the Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC). It aims at contributing to the understanding of this serious problem and its long-term effects. It is based on the qualitative method and the deductive approach including semi-structured interviews with a target population of ten Congolese migrants in Egypt. Results revealed that gender inequality has a significant negative impact on early childhood development in all life aspects in the DRC. The paper found out that the Congolese girl child is negatively affected by gender issues that include female genital mutilation (FGM) and early marriage that present a significant health risk for girls. As parents prefer to educate the boy child, girls don't attend schools and even if they do attend schools, they are forced by their parents to drop out early and not to continue their education. Campaigns and programs should be deployed in all the country's institutions to raise the public awareness about the serious effects of the gender inequality issue and empowering the role of women starting from the early childhood development
