Abstract :
The Surgery First Approach (SFA) in
orthognathic surgery has garnered increasing attention
for its potential to streamline treatment processes and
enhance patient outcomes. This literature review
explores the fundamental concepts underlying the SFA,
elucidates established protocols, examines variations in
implementation across different clinical scenarios, and
discusses emerging trends shaping its contemporary
practice. Through comprehensive analysis of recent
literature, this review aims to provide insights into the
evolving landscape of SFA, its applications, challenges,
and future directions in orthognathic surgery.
