Abstract :
A Project management Knowledge Area
represents a complete set of concepts, terms, and
activities that make up a project management field.
Project Management Knowledge Areas include: Project
Integration Management; Project Scope Management;
Project Time Management; Project Cost Management;
Project Quality Management; Project Human Resource
Management; Project Communications Management;
Project Risk Management; Project Procurement
Management; and Project Stakeholder Management.
Therefore, Project Management Knowledge Areas are
used on most projects most of the time to achieve
project success. To this effect, project teams should be
able to understand and utilize Project Management
Knowledge Areas appropriately, according to specific
projects. However, studies have revealed that despite
Project teams utilizing Project Management Knowledge
Areas, project failure occurs, thereby not achieving
project success.
