Abstract :
Employees, no doubt, are the prime element
in every organization, whether profit or non-profit
making organizations. They come into the organization
with potentials and capabilities that must be tapped and
harnessed by the management under the human
resources management unit. To effectively and efficiently
utilize these raw talents and for better and improved
performance management support is required, in form
of empowerment. Hence, this paper is aimed at
examining the effects of employee training, delegation of
authority and work environment on their performance,
commitment and satisfaction on their jobs. As a
descriptive research a sample size of 190 teaching and
non-teaching staff members were selected randomly. A
structured questionnaire with Likert’s 5-point
measurement scale was administered. The data were
analyzed using correlation coefficient and regression
model. The results of the analysis showed that employee
empowerment through training, authority delegation
and work environment have positive effects on the
employees’ performance, which must be sustained by the
organization
