Abstract :
This study aims to determine the relationship
between emotional regulation and the psychological
well-being of diabetes mellitus patients in Yogyakarta,
Indonesia. A total of 53 patients with diabetes mellitus
participated in this study. This research uses the
quantitative method. Psychological Well-being Scale
and Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) is used to
measure the variables. Statistical analysis showed that
emotion regulation had a positive significant correlation
with psychological well-being. Coefficient correlation
between emotion regulation and psychological wellbeing of r = 0.771 with p = 0.000 (p< 0.01). The
relationship between the two variables showed that the
higher the emotion regulation score, the higher the
psychological well-being level.
