Effect of Leadership Style, Job Promotion, and Organizational Work Culture on Motivation and Civil Servant Performance in South Sulawesi

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of leadership style on motivation and employee performance, the impact of motivation on employee performance, the impact of job promotions on motivation and employee performance, and the impact of organizational culture on motivation and civil servant performance in South Sulawesi. This research conducted on civil servants in the city of Makassar. The sample in this study were 220 people — the method of data collection done by using a questionnaire distributed to respondents. Data analysis methods used are Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) -AMOS and Sobel Test. The results of this study indicate that the leadership style has a positive and significant effect on work motivation, but the performance shows no significant impact.
