Abstract :
This study proposes a robust multi-layered
defence system to counter the escalating threat of phishing
attacks, motivated by the urgent need to enhance
cybersecurity in the face of rising incidents of data
breaches and compromised information. Employing a
mixed-methods research design and integrating Social
Engineering Theory, Technology Acceptance Model, and
Information Processing Theory, the study focuses on user
education, technological solutions, proactive monitoring,
and incident response mechanisms. Anticipated results
include insights into the system's components, the
effectiveness of user education programs, efficiency of
technological solutions, success of proactive monitoring,
and responsiveness of incident response mechanisms.
