Abstract :
This work introduces the development of a design of an access control facial recognition system with the use of a Raspberry pi controller, this design is meant for access to restricted areas. It consists of the camera which sends input to the microcontroller when a human face is being recognized and it grants access, the door in the output system then slides open; if the face is unrecognizable the system prompts the user to try again. This is an innovative design because it enables the automation of a door system.
