Abstract :
The present research was conducted on sample
of 100 women from Jalandhar city of Punjab with the
objective to find out the relationship of conformity
behaviour with social freedom with respect to their locale
(rural and urban) and level of Education (graduate and
post graduate). The results of the study revealed that
there exists a significant difference between rural and
urban women in conformity behaviour and social
freedom. Rural women of Punjab were found at higher
edge in terms of conformity behaviour as well as social
freedom. Whereas in case of difference between graduate
and post graduate women in conformity behaviour and
social freedom came insignificant. Similarly, no
significant relationship was found between conformity
behaviour and social freedom among women of Punjab.
