In the year 2020 India has experienced an
average of 80 murders and 77 rape cases daily. Most of
the people don't even pay keen attention to it as it goes to
around 29,000 murders and 28,105 rape cases in a year.
This count is just a drop in ocean if we consider the vast
population of 1.3 billion people. But this is just the count
of murders and rapes if we take into consideration the
other criminal acts almost 60 to 70 % cases go
unregistered. According to NCRB [National Crime
Records Bureau] there was rise of 28% in registered
cases. By every passing day the crime rate is increasing,
so the number of miscreants. It's quite tough for the law
enforcement agencies to catch those miscreants and put
them behind the bars. As in today's world the technology
is playing an important role. Each and every thing
revolves around technology. This paper focuses on using
this technology specially various face detection
techniques to build an efficient system to help the law
enforcement agencies to catch the miscreants.
