Abstract : Many graduates of Technical Colleges do not have intention to establish and run their own businesses which has caused a spike in the increase of unemployed persons in the society. Venturing into business may not necessarily solve these problems of unemployment but venturing into the right business with the right skill. To reduce the problems of unemployment EIMW students should have a desire to start a business enterprise for the purpose of making a profit. To achieve the purpose of the study, six hypotheses were formulated. Two hundred EIMW students were selected as sample using the multistage sampling technique. The data collected were analyzed using correlation and regression analysis. The result of the study showed that independent variables have significant influence on the dependent variable, thereby, the null hypotheses were rejected. It was concluded that available resources and laboratory/workshop practices have significant influence on the electrical installation and maintenance work students’ entrepreneurial intentions. The result of this study will help to change the societal misconceptions about technical education entrepreneurs.
