Abstract :
In research works, sampling and getting a sample size are always important to ease the analysis and make a good representation for the entire population, especially when the population is heterogeneous or large to be covered. Hence, a simplified and precise sample size method is required, despite several attempts by researchers. Therefore, to eliminate ambiguous use of formula and analytical difficulty with non-decimal human element, this work proposes the Absolute Value Approach (AVA), using modified Sloven’s formula to generate a precise sample size table through a 6-step approach. Also, opinionnaire is proposed as a new method of data collection, when immediate response is required from the available respondents, using verbal, written or electronic (internet) media involving only one or two questions of interest to ease decision making at its fastest level.
